Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
The three most important meals of the day.
When I visit Las Vegas, I usually have one mission. EAT DELICIOUS FOOD. Perhaps I have a few side-missions: to see a good show and maybe win some money, but let’s be real here; a good show is fairly easy to find in Vegas and nobody wins on slots so the food is my priority.
If you know Vegas then you know that no one wakes up and eats breakfast at a normal time. Thus, you’ll see restaurant ads for “Best Brunch in Vegas,” “Bottomless Mimosa Brunch,” and the like; but what you wont see are signs for Breakfast. Everyone likes to sleep in, we’re all on vacation here, folks. So! Most restaurants will offer a great brunch menu with both breakfast and lunch items. For that reason, I have provided not one but two of my favorite Brunch spots in Las Vegas. Then for dinner, I’m sharing one of my favorite Vegas restaurants. So without further interruption, here is my list of Where to eat in Las Vegas.
Brunch: Lago by Julian Serrano
Address: 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV
Location: Centrally situated in-between Le Cirque and Jasmine inside the Bellagio
Price Point: $38 for a 3 course breakfast. Completely worth it.
When to go: Sundays 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM. For real though, Lago only serves Brunch once a week on Sundays.
Reservations? 100% make a reservation if you want a view of the Bellagio Fountains. We made ours a week ahead of time online and I made sure to add a comment asking for a seat by the window with a view of the fountains. If you’re going during the warmer months, you can ask for a seat on the patio.
First things first, you should understand the name. Lago translates to Lake which makes sense here as you overlook the 8.5 Acre Bellagio Lake. Lago doesn’t only offer gorgeous views of the Fountains of Bellagio while you eat; it offers an unforgettable 3 course meal. 4 courses if you include the freshly baked pastries that are waiting for you on the table when you arrive. Julian Serrano puts an Italian Twist on classic brunch items so not many things you will eat here, will be familiar but they will all be delicious.
“I believe a good meal is best enjoyed with friends and family.”
-Julian Serrano
Not only does Lago have a great view out the windows, great food to put in your belly but it also has a spectacular interior. Upon arrival, all guets are greeted with a 100-foot mosaic reflecting an aerial map of Milan, plus the colored backlit glass panels that can be looked upon as Milan’s roadways. My favorite part? The bar area which shows off a chrome counter for the bartenders with notes of marble and glass.

But who is Julian Serrano? Julian Serrano has been executive chef of Bellagio’s flagship fine dining restaurant Picasso for over 20 years, and opened Lago in 2015. The Michelin-starred chef has two James Beard Foundation Awards. Needless to say, a chef like Julian Serrano deserves to be on all the “Where to eat in Las Vegas” lists.
Brunch: Hexx Kitchen & Bar
Address: 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Location: Located within the Paris Hotel; you can enter Hexx from inside the hotel itself; or walk in from the street.
Price Point: Entrees run from $14-24 while cocktails are $16.50 a piece.
When to go: Brunch is offered every day from 6am-4pm.
Reservations? Reservations can only be made for the main dining room. If you want a spot on the patio, it’s first come first served. This is not my favorite policy as we really only came to Hexx wanting to sit on the patio. So we showed up, put our name on the list, waited an hour for our table hoping for a patio seat; only to be seated indoors.
TO EAT
- Fresh Fruit Plate fresh seasonal fruit | banana nut muffins | coconut whipped cream
- Hexx Benedict poached eggs | scalloped potatoes | canadian bacon | asparagus | hollandaise *no english muffin here folks
- Breakfast Croissant black forest ham | aged cheddar home fries | * add an egg
TO DRINK
(Because surprise! This isn’t only a list of where to eat in Las Vegas, but also a list of where to drink in Vegas.)
- Farmers Market Bloody Mary bacon infused gin | cheddar | bacon pepper stuffed olive | celery salt rim
- The Roman Bloody Mary house-made spicy vodka | cherry tomato | pickled vegetables | spicy olive | salted rim
- Peachy Thyme Mule ketel one peach & orange blossom botanical | fresh lime juice | thyme simple syrup | peach bitters | ginger beer
- Hexx Potions We didn’t order one of these but saw them served to other tables and they seemed fun if you’re not afraid of sharing germs with your table-mates. They serve 3-4 people, are super cute and seem like a decent bang for your buck.
- Bottomless Mimosa We also didn’t order this one but for about $36 you can get a headache in a glass that will last you all day. Jokes aside, if you plan on having more than one mimosa with your brunch, then this is a great idea.
- Champagne Vending Machine Yes, it’s totally a thing. Buy a token from your server, proceed to the machine and get your bubbly on.
Dinner: Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak
Address: 3400 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas, NV
Location: The Mirage Hotel & Casino. Located directly beneath the atrium on the casino floor.
Price Point: Entrees run from $38-68 and are served ala carte’ which means you’ll also want to order some sides, which average $12 a piece. Cocktails are about $16 but we always opt for a nice bottle of wine here.
When to go: Sunday-Thursday: 5pm-9pm or Friday-Saturday: 5pm-10pm. Show up just before 5pm to snag happy hour snacks and drinks at the bar.
Reservations? If you want a seat in the main restaurant then reservations are highly recommended. However, we usually try to grab an early dinner here and love the service we get at the bar which is open seating.
“TOM COLICCHIO LOVES TO COOK WITH FIRE. Whether it’s in a WOOD-BURNING OVEN or over a WOOD-FIRED GRILL, the sights, smells and sounds of cooking with fire all combine to create a wonderful ambiance.”
With ANTIBIOTIC-FREE animals raised by purveyors committed to time-honored farming practices and heritage breeds, Colicchio only wants the best for his restaurant. In addition to serving up quality meat, Collichio decided he wanted a quality kitchen. A few years back when he was getting ready to open the restaurant he found himself in an acquaintances restaurant. It was in that restaurant where he found something he needed to have in his own soon to open restaurant; a grill.
He fell head over heels in love with this special grill because it burns twice as hot as a regular grill which allows all of the natural juices in the meat to be locked in. After some hoopla and hard work he was able to special order one. So what was this special grill at the time? A CUSTOM GRILL WORKS WOOD-BURNING GRILL. Burning Charcoal and all American white oak, guests can sit back and enjoy the glow of the hearth as it breathes life into the entire restaurant. Dinner and a show? Yes Please!
Fun Fact: When the grill arrived, it had to be crane dropped in through the roof of The Mirage.
Sidenote: They butcher all of their meat in house. Because Collichio doesn’t believe in letting quality product go to waste, they take all of their meat trimmings and make a house made jerky. A5, A4, Ribeye, Filet Mignon, literally all of the bits and ends from all the cuts are thrown together and voila; out comes the house jerky. Its the fanciest beef jerky you’ll ever eat and you don’t want to miss it. It may be the best thing to eat in Las Vegas if you’re a jerky connoisseur.
