Suncadia Resort
Located just an hour and a half away from Seattle, Suncadia is one of my go-to weekend getaways. Suncadia is a gorgeous resort and spa set up in the Cascade Mountains just off of I-90 in the forested city of of Cle Elum, WA. Suncadia is open year-round and appeals to all ages and all activity levels. Whether you want to take a weekend with your buddies to go golfing, a weekend with the girls for wine tasting and relaxing in the spa or take the entire family for pool time and horse-back riding, Suncadia is ready for you.
There are 3 ways to stay at Suncadia.
You can stay in the hotel style rooms within the lodge, rent a condo for an off-site feel with just a few friends or rent one of the gigantic homes for larger groups.
Option 1: Stay at The Lodge
If you want to be in the resort itself and on top of all the action then a room at The Lodge is going to be your best bet. The Lodge offers a restaurant, coffee shop and bar on the main floor, plus multiple meeting/ event rooms and an outdoor pool overlooking the forested land.

The Space: almost every room features a deep soaking tub, private outdoor balcony; gas fireplace; flat screen television and sleeper sofa
The Size: 450 square feet-2,500 square feet

Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, Portals is an easy option if you’re staying at the lodge and don’t want to travel far. Plus the view, I mean look at this view; endless trees and mountains to enjoy while eating breakfast is a dream come true in my book.

Located atop the old No. 9 Mine, Hoist House is the home to Swiftwater cellars. Swiftwater Cellars is the winery while Hoist House is the name of the restaurant inside the winery. Pull up a chair on the patio during the summer with golf course views for an afternoon glass of wine or a chair at the bar in the winter. If you’re looking for the best place to eat dinner on within the Suncadia resort community, make your reservation for Hoist House and be ready to eat an amazing meal.
