Paine Field has reinvented how many Seattleites feel about flying.
One word that comes to mind when Seattleites think about the airport: CHAOTIC.
One feeling that comes to mind when Seattleites think about the airport: STRESSED.
Paine Field has reinvented how Seattleites will view flying; NO MORE CHAOS AND NO MORE STRESS.
When traveling through an airport; we all have one common goal: Get to where we are going in a timely fashion, safely and with ease. No one wants to be late or delayed, no one wants to feel unsafe in an airport and no one wants or needs added stressors during their travel.
Travel can and should be fun, civil and stress-free. THAT’S WHERE PAINE FIELD COMES IN.
My Paine Field Experience
With only 2 gates Paine Field feels small because it is small; in the absolute best way possible. Surprisingly enough, the restrooms are of note as all restrooms are single stall featuring floor to ceiling stone and uniquely modern faucets. Security is a breeze at Paine Field, with friendly TSA agents, and even though it’s a quick process for the ordinary traveler, they still offer a TSA precheck line for extra-expedited service. Once you make your way through the quickest security line possible, you’ll land in a gorgeous departure lounge. Yes, a lounge that is open to all with plush seats, a full bar and expansive windows looking out onto views of the Olympics.
Honestly, it feels like you’re flying private when you’re at Paine Field.

Parking
There are many parking options available to those flying out of Paine Field.
- Valet $30/ Day. Drive right up to the terminal drop-off area where a valet attendant will meet you curbside from 4am until the last flight of the day. The best part? Your car will be waiting for you right at the curb upon your return, free of snow and ice if you’re traveling during the winter.
- Speed up the process and MAKE A RESERVATION.
- Premium $30/ Day. Yes, that’s right; it costs the same to self-park as it does to use the valet service. My advice, Valet the car; it saves time and time is money. However, a weekly parking discount is available to those who self-park in the premium lot. With a weekly rate of $150, you can save $60 off your total, but only if you’ll be gone longer than a week.
- Economy $20/ Day. With just a 5 minute walk from the economy lot to the terminal, the economy option is a great way to save a few dollars.

- Beecher’s Handmade Cheese pastries, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, and food to go
- Upper Case Bar cocktails, beer on tap, wine flights, cheese boards, soups & salads, sandwiches and more.
- Caffe Vita espresso, tea, hot chocolate & pastries
Overall, my top 3 favorite things about Paine Field.
- Valet Parking; curbside service for $30/ day
- Friendly Employees; smiling & customer focused
- The size; bigger is not always better
Final thoughts
When provided with the option, I will ALWAYS fly out of Paine Field. Actually, I’ll be flying out of Paine Field again next month and I’m already looking forward to it. After many hectic airport experiences around the world, Paine Field proves to be the exact opposite; Paine Field is calm, luxurious and stress-free.

I now live way closer to Paine than SeaTac. Once it’s safe to fly again, I cannot wait to try a flight from here! I’ve heard nothing but good things. Great tip on the mimosa flight!

Yes! It’s such a treat to not have to drive through Seattle and down to Sea-Tac if you don’t have to! Paine Field is suuuch a pretty airport; I’m convinced you’ll fall in love with it as much as I did.
