A rustic wedding venue in Kent, WA
Fun Fact: When you are in your early 20’s, everyone you know will be getting married. Or so it seems that way. This Summer really has felt like the Summer of Weddings.
Our first wedding of September. Aaaaand it rained. But that’s okay, because we are all from Seattle. We really wouldn’t expect anything different.
Lazy River Farm is located right along the Green River in Kent. Kent is about 30 minutes south of Seattle. There isn’t really much in Kent besides this cute little farm, so I wouldn’t recommend venturing to Kent for any other reason.
The ceremony was held in the backyard of the barn. Surrounded by lush, green bushes, plants and flowers. It was like we had landed ourselves into a magical little garden scene. Very cute.
After the ceremony, we all headed inside the barn to get out of the sprinkles showering down from above.
We had a great cocktail hour, leading into dinner as we took pictures and chatted it up with friends.
After dinner, the rain took a break and we all danced around together in the grass, enjoying the flowers that were all around us.
And of course, to finish off the night, we enjoyed a wonderful dessert of ice cream sandwiches. They were provided by The Cookie Counter. And if The Cookie Counter were a person, I would probably tell them,
“Hey, I think I love you. You really seem to have life figured out, here.”
Reasons I love The Cookie Counter
- Damn tasty ice cream sandwiches
- No Dairy
- No eggs
- No honey
- No casein
- Zero animal products
- Served out of an old ’74 VW Bus
Cheers to the happy bride and groom!
