An evening at Opus Co.
With just 6 tables and a chef’s counter that seats 4 people, Opus Co. is incredibly intimate, in the most amazing way possible. Opus Co. was carefully created, giving it’s diners a cozy place to experience what dining local really means. When I eat at Opus Co. I feel like I belong, I feel like the chef cares about me, I know the wait staff cares for me, and with all of that; I care for Opus Co. right back.
Upon entering the front door, you are greeted with the most beautiful site imaginable to a foodie like myself; the kitchen. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me when I walk into a restaurant that offers an open view of the kitchen. There is something so special about seeing the chef constructing your meal right in front of your eyes.
The wonder and worry about what’s going on “back in the kitchen” is completely removed.
Their humble kitchen has a not so humble centerpiece; a beautiful custom wood grill. Almost everything they cook is made right on that grill, embedding a tasty char and smokiness to each bite. This style of cooking over a wood fired grill is unpredictable; keeping the chef’s on their toes at all times. The best part for them? They get to have fun by being creative as each dish that hits the grill.
Because the chefs get to have fun with their food, they want you to have fun eating it. That’s why they serve their food family-style. They will offer you a menu that lists a few dishes you can order from. But in all reality, they want you…I want you, and basically the universe wants you to order the Opus Feast. For just $55/ person, you get a 6 course dining experience that will blow your socks right off. The only catch, if you can even call it that, is that everyone at the table must order this for it to work. But seriously, don’t let that stop you. Let that be the motivation to share a delicious meal with your table-mates.

Just as thoughtful as their food, the drinks on the menu are carefully selected and offered. Based off the ever-changing seasons, their cocktails, PNW Beer and wines are all well thought out additions to their menu. Staying true to their local roots, all of the beer, wine and cider served here is from Washington or Oregon.
My current drink of choice on the cocktail menu is the Yoga Pants.
Curious about what local farmers and producers Opus Co. purchases their goodies from?
Here’s their beautiful list:
Alvarez Family Farms | Batch 206 Distillery | Cookie Counter | Foraged & Found | Herkimer Coffee | Local Roots Farm | NW Bounty | Phinney Farmer’s Market | Present Tense Farm | Tahoma Fuji Sake Brewing Company | Tonnemaker | Wilderness Farms Meats | Willowood Farm
18 total seats. 6 staff members. 1 incredible restaurant.
Order the Opus Feast. Eat the Food. Drink the drinks. Enjoy.

It’s such a fun restaurant! And yes, 100% the smaller, intimate restaurants where you actually get to talk to the chef and get to know your waiter are always on the top of my list for favorite restaurants. We’re going to Millers Guild downtown Seattle tonight to sit at their chefs table and I cannot wait! Cheers, friend.
