The perfect lunch date combo in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood
What do 8oz Burger & Co. and Hello Robin have in common? They use organic, local and sustainable ingredients. Yesssssss. Those three words make me so incredibly giddy. Let me say them again.
Organic.
Local.
Sustainable.
Hell to the yes. Happiness lies here.
They also both happen to be in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.
8oz Burger & Co.
One thing here, before we get started. I do not like burgers. At all. Seriously, not one bit. I probably eat one beef burger a year. This was that one. And I’m pretty satisfied with my choice. 8oz has 16 burgers to choose from.
What we ordered
- The Broadway. arugula, garlic tomato jam, garlic roasted tomatoes, garlic confit, mozzarella
, and aioli. This thing was garlic paradise. Do I wish it was a chicken breast or veggie patty instead of beef? Yes. Does that mean the beef patty wasn’t good? No. I had Kaleb try mine, just to confirm it wasn’t the burger, it was me. - The Pike.
frisee , tomato, fire roasted Anaheim, habanero jam, cotija, avocado cilantro crema. Holy fireballs, this thing is spicy. They will warn you when you try to order it about the heat. If you don’t do well with heat in your food, go ahead and spin again, this will not be your prized burger. However, we LOVE spicy. I even ordered a side of the habanero sauce to dip my fries in because I loved it so much. - Sweet potato Tots: get em if you like the sweet varietal of potatoes.
Q: Are you full? Roll me down the hill.
Q: Do you still want dessert? Always.
